Incorporated on 14 January 2008 under the Companies Act 1965, VETA is headquartered in Semenyih, Selangor — accredited under the Department of Skills Development (JPK), Ministry of Human Resources.

Vocational Education Training Academy (VETA) is a private skills training institution incorporated under the Companies Act 1965 on 14 January 2008 and headquartered in Semenyih, Selangor. As an accredited training centre under the Department of Skills Development (JPK), Ministry of Human Resources, VETA plays a critical role in developing a highly skilled workforce that is ready to meet real-world industry demands. Its accreditation reflects full compliance with national competency standards and quality assurance requirements.

VETA emphasises practical, hands-on training and industry-oriented learning, with curricula designed to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. Training is delivered in simulated and actual working environments, enabling trainees to acquire strong technical competencies alongside essential workplace and soft skills.

VETA offers programmes in strategic and high-growth sectors including Automotive, Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology, Welding, and other emerging technical fields. All programmes are aligned with current market demand to ensure relevance, employability, and long-term career sustainability. Through close collaboration with strategic industry partners, VETA continuously enhances its training delivery by aligning course content with industry needs, providing structured industrial training and employment pathways, ensuring industry-recognised certifications, and supporting clear career progression and further education opportunities for graduates.

Guided by the philosophy “Professional TVET, Empowering the Future,” VETA is recognised as a trusted skills training provider supporting Malaysia’s national talent development agenda. At the international level, VETA has established strong strategic collaborations to ensure global recognition and benchmarking. Since 2012, VETA has been recognised as an Approved Centre by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), United Kingdom, enabling the delivery of internationally benchmarked automotive training and professional certification.

In response to the rapid advancement of EV and new energy technologies, VETA further expanded its global network through a strategic collaboration with a Skill Training Institution in China in 2025, allowing VETA to offer an International Certificate in New Energy Vehicle Technology. In the field of welding, VETA collaborates with LRQA (Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance) to conduct Welder Qualification Test (WQT) certifications. Its proprietary Welding Skill Training System is developed in accordance with international standards including AWS D1.1 (2010) and ASME Section IX, aligned with Lloyd’s Register requirements.

VETA is also a registered training provider under the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) for Automotive and Welding programmes, enabling levy-contributing employers to maximise workforce upskilling opportunities (Training Provider No.: 3825).
