Today, Danish works as a professional Welder at Saipem GPS in Saudi Arabia, one of the world’s leading energy engineering companies. It’s a career milestone that many aspire to — and one that Danish built through discipline, continuous learning, and a willingness to go the extra mile.

His advice for anyone looking to follow a similar path: invest in industry-relevant certifications, sharpen your English communication skills, and never underestimate the power of a well-crafted resume. The opportunities are out there — you just have to cast a wide net.

When Mohammad Hakim Najmi began his welding programme at VETA College in August 2022, he came in with one clear belief: you have to truly love what you do. That conviction carried him through 18 months of rigorous hands-on training.

Today, he works as a Welder at Alliance Steel Sdn Bhd, based at the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) — one of the largest steel manufacturing facilities in Southeast Asia. It’s a solid foundation for a career built on skill, not just paper qualifications.

Hakim’s message is simple and direct: genuine passion is the foundation of everything. If the interest isn’t there, the effort won’t follow.

Muhammad Amir Yusuf bin Ben Khaled Hakimy is living proof that vocational training doesn’t put a ceiling on your ambitions — it builds the floor you stand on.

A graduate of VETA’s Arc Welding programme from the August 2019 intake, Amir currently works two jobs simultaneously: a Welder with KNH Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd during the day, and a Marketing & Event Manager with Lightgreen Sdn Bhd at night. His combined hustle speaks for itself.

Amir sees welding as a gateway, not a destination. The technical skills he gained at VETA opened the door to construction, oil and gas, and maritime industries — but his ambition pushed him even further, into project management and events.

Abdul Halim bin Abdul Hamid packed his tools and his determination when he graduated from VETA College’s welding programme in June 2020. A few years later, he found himself working in South Korea — one of the world’s most technologically advanced manufacturing nations.

He is currently employed as a Welder at Daedong Mobility, located in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea — a company known for precision engineering in the mobility sector. It’s a testament to how globally competitive Malaysian vocational graduates can be when they put in the work.

Abdul Halim’s story is a quiet one — he lets his career do the talking.

Muhammad Fadhil bin Roszi graduated from VETA College’s welding programme during the August 2019 intake. His 18 months of training gave him more than technical know-how — they gave him an entry point into Malaysia’s growing energy sector.

He now works as a Welder at Oilfields Energy Solutions Sdn Bhd in Semenyih, Selangor, contributing to projects that power the country’s oil and gas infrastructure. It’s a field where precision matters and skilled welders are always in demand.

For Fadhil, the journey wasn’t about perfection from day one — it was about showing up, doing the work, and trusting the process.

Muhammad Aliff Al Adzim bin Mohamad Khushaini joined VETA College’s welding programme in March 2022, one of the youngest in his batch. But youth didn’t slow him down — it fuelled him.

After completing his training, Aliff secured a position as a Welder at Dynamic Mesh and Wire Industries Sdn Bhd in Telok Gong, Port Klang — a well-established industrial manufacturer. His performance on the job has earned him a solid standing in the company.

His message to those still in training carries the warmth of someone who hasn’t forgotten what it felt like to be in the classroom — the pressure, the doubts, the long hours — and came through it stronger.

Rohaiqal bin Rohazriee graduated from VETA College’s welding programme in June 2022 and didn’t wait long to make his mark. Within a short time, he crossed the border and landed a role as a Welder at Steel Ally in Singapore — a move that significantly elevated his career trajectory and earning potential.

Working in Singapore’s demanding industrial environment is no small feat. It requires not just technical skill, but adaptability, professionalism, and the ability to meet high production standards. Rohaiqal has met all of those expectations.

His story adds to VETA’s growing list of internationally placed graduates — a testament to the real-world value of the college’s training programmes.

Rafiq Azam bin Rasidi is among VETA’s most recent success stories, completing his welding programme in the July 2023 intake. Fresh out of training, he secured a role as a Welder at BAUER Equipment Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam — the local arm of the globally recognised German engineering group.

Working with world-class machinery and international standards from early in his career gives Rafiq a strong foundation to grow on. It also reflects how industry-ready VETA’s graduates are — even without years of prior experience.

Mohamad Razin Sakhawi bin Mohd Rosdi graduated from VETA College’s Automotive Diagnostic programme in March 2022, armed with two years of hands-on training in light vehicle servicing and diagnostics.

He is currently a Technician at MZ Bimmer Auto Services in Kajang — a workshop that specialises in Mercedes-Benz and BMW vehicles. Working on luxury European cars requires a higher level of diagnostic precision and technical knowledge, and Razin has proven he’s up to the challenge.

It’s an early chapter in what looks like a promising career in premium automotive services.

Muhammad Imran Khan bin Niaz Ahmad completed VETA College’s Automotive Diagnostic Service programme in March 2022. His two years of training prepared him for real-world workshop environments — and he put that preparation to immediate use.

He now works as a Technician at Ingress Motors Centre Sdn Bhd (Mitsubishi) in Bukit Puchong — an authorised dealership that holds its service technicians to high brand standards. Joining a manufacturer-backed service centre early in his career gives Imran structured exposure to the latest vehicle systems and official technical training.

It’s a strong starting point — and every starting point is a launching pad for something bigger.

Mohamad Zikri bin Md Suhaimi joined VETA College’s Automotive Diagnostic Service programme in April 2023 — and by 2025, he had already stepped into the working world.

He currently serves as an Automobile Technician at GD Express Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya, handling vehicle servicing and technical work for one of Malaysia’s well-known logistics companies. It’s a practical, on-the-ground role that puts his training to work immediately.

Zikri represents a new generation of VETA graduates — young, trained, and ready to contribute from day one.
